Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has worked in many blockbusters and one among them was Don. The movie featured actor as a don and did wonders at the box office. The living legend has turned a year older but ironically the director of Don, Chandra Barot is on death bed. He revealed to a leading entertainment portal that he is suffering from lung psoriasis.
The ace director revealed that he is suffering from the disease for the last 4-5 years. Dailybhaskar.com quoted Chandra as saying, “My health is down since four to five years. I am diagnosed with lung psoriasis. The treatment is on, but the doctor says that it’s quite a serious matter.”
It comes a big shock that the film industry is not aware of the director’s condition. Talking about that he stated that he doesn’t want to announce about his illness as he is very well taken care by his wife and son. He added that he wants to fight his own battle.
He stated, “People will anyway just give a call to me or come to my house feel sorry for me and sympathize with my family and go away. I don’t need such kind of attention.”
Chandra went on to say that he shares good relations with Bachchan family and thus, Big B’s wife Jaya Bachchan knows about his illness and she also referred him to Dr. Zarir Udwadia of Breach Candy hospital.
Talking further, the director revealed that every year he meets the legendary actor at Diwali bash but this time this won’t be possible as Big B is not hosting the party because of his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father’s death.
