Filmmaker Karan Johar is creating waves in the film industry with back-to-back revelations from his autobiography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’. After talking about his sexuality and his fallout with actress Kajol, Karan now talked about his spat with Bollywood diva Kareena Kapoor.
The director who shares a warm relation with Bebo now, revealed that during the time of his film ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, the role of Priety Zinta was first offered to Kareena. But, the lady demanded same amount as superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Thus, the director said her sorry and the role was passed on to Priety.
Karan further said that after that when he called the ‘Jab We Met’ actress, she didn’t pick up his call.
He said, “I was very hurt. I told my father, ‘Leave that negotiation room’ and I called her. She didn’t take my call, and I said, ‘We’re not taking her.”
This incident soured the relations between the celebrities as they didn’t talk for almost a year.
KJo revealed that while he was busy with songs and promos of ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’, his father was taking his treatment from New York. Bebo came to know about this and then she called the director and apologised.
Kareena stated, “I heard about Yash uncle. I love you and I am so sorry I haven't been in touch. Don't worry.”
Now, both Karan and Kareena are considered as BFFs. The lady also had fun on his talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’ where she appeared with actress Sonam Kapoor.
