We all know that Rohit Shetty's next film will be Sooryavanshi, starring Akshay Kumar. At the end of his latest release Simmba, Shetty dropped a hint of his next cop thriller. Now, this has made fans excited and they just can't wait for Rohit Shetty and Akshay Kumar's collaboration. However, do you know that Akshay's Sooryavanshi has Salman Khan connection?
Well for unversed, let's us tell that Salman Khan featured in 1992 fantasy horror film with the same name. Hence, it was not easy for Simmba director to get the same title for his much-awaited movie. It was Boney Kapoor, who came forward to help Rohit Shetty and managed to convince the film's producer Vijay Galani.
A report in DNA stated, ''Initially, Vijay was reluctant to part with the title. However, he agreed after Boney Kapoor was roped in to discuss and reason with him to be open-minded and accomodating of a younger colleague in the fraternity, that he agreed. It’s another thing that Rohit is spelling his film as Sooryavanshi and not Suryavanshi.”
Rohit Shetty's works are seen to have South Indian flavour. His last release Simmba is the remake of Telugu blockbuster Temper. The movie starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan has so far raked in Rs 173.15 crore in nine days. No need to say that it is roaring at the box office and with no big releases in coming days, Simmba will soon enter the coveted Rs 200 crore club.
