Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has launched veteran actress Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor alongside Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar in Dhadak, has thrashed the rumours stating Ishaan being the part of Student Of The Year 2. In a tweet, the ace director clarified that Tiger Shroff will play the lead in SOTY 2.
Karan took to micro-blogging site Twitter and tweeted, “CLARIFICATION: Ishaan is the lead of #Dhadak directed by @ShashankKhaitan and Tiger Shroff is the Lead of #StudentOfTheYear2 directed by @punitdmalhotra ...all other cross stories floating around are baseless and untrue....”
Speculations are rife from quite some time that Ishaan will feature in SOTY 2. But, Karan has rubbished these reports. Recently, the poster of Dhadak was out in which Janhvi and Ishaan can be seen together. The movie is slated to release next year.
Student Of The Year 2 is the sequel to 2012 film that featured Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in pivotal roles. The leading ladies of the film is yet to be finalised. If reports are to be believed, Chunky Pandey’s daughter Ananya will be making her debut with the film. However, official announcement on the same is still awaited.
