Dhadak: Karan Johar shares another glimpse of Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter. Trailer to be out soon!
Dhadak, which is Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s first outing in Bollywood is slated to release on July 20. On Thursday, filmmaker Karan Johar dropped another poster of ‘lovestruck’ Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter, also announcing that the Dhadak trailer will be out anytime soon. While Ishaan Khatter already proved his acting prowess in Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds, Janhvi Kapoor will be facing the cameras for the first time. However, going by the posters, one cannot make out that the 20-year-old budding actress is just making her entry into Bollywood.
In the latest poster, Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter can be seen smearing colours on each other. The picture seems to be shot against the backdrop of Holi. The young actress is also giving a glimpse of her superstar mother Sridevi Boney Kapoor in the picture, while Ishaan Khatter looks smitten while putting colour on his shy love interest.
The latest reports are saying that Dhadak is an official remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat, however Ishaan begs to differ. While interacting with media, he cleared that Dhadak is an adaption and not a remake. He stressed on the fact that remakes have not worked really well at the box office in the recent times. Ishaan said that it all ultimately depends on one’s intention behind directing a film.
Ishaan Khatter revealed that he watched Sairat to get the character and feel of the movie. He understands the responsibility that comes along in making a film based on an already hit movie.
Meanwhile, grapevine has it that co-stars Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are very much into each other ever since the film went on floors. Recently, the duo was spotted leaving a restaurant after a dinner date in movie. Falling for their co-stars is nothing new in Bollywood. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor accepted his relationship with Brahmastra co-star Alia Bhatt. According to the reports, they grew fond of each other while filming for Ayan Mukerji-directorial in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Talking about Dhadak, the romantic drama has been directed by Shaishank Khaitan and bankrolled by Karan Johar. It is slated to release on 20th July.
