Dhadak stars Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor are on cloud nine these days. On one hand, the number don’t stop pouring in at the box office, and on the other, they are loaded with praise and applaud for their performance in the movie from not just the fans but Bollywood celebrities as well. Just recently, Janhvi’s father Boney Kapoor revealed that after watching the movie Shabana Azmi called him and said, 'Has Janhvi done chupke se 25-30 films that you haven't released? She looks so polished on screen'. Dhadak has already minted Rs 43.95 crores and is now racing towards the 50 crore mark.
Disclosing the latest box office report of Dhadak, film critic and trade analyst taran Adrash took to social media and wrote,
Not just at the Indian market, but Dhadak continues to shine in International markets as well. Taran Adarsh said, “#Dhadak - Overseas - Total till Tue: approx $ 1.68 mn [₹ 11.55 cr]... North America: $ 498k….UAE-GCC: $ 506k….UK-Ireland: $ 200k….ANZ: $ 176k”
On the first day itself, the film managed to make two records. One, it became the highest opener for any film with debutantes in the lead and also the eight highest openers of this year.
Earlier in an Interview, when Janhvi was asked who gave her the best compliment so far for her performance, she said: "I got the best compliment from my director Shashank Khaitan when he told me that he is proud of me. But more than that, I feel the kind of overwhelming response that we are getting here is the biggest compliment for all of us".
