After portraying the role of an adamant father in the first song ‘Haanikarak Baapu’, superstar Aamir Khan was seen feeling proud and cheering his daughter in the recently released song of much awaited flick ‘Dangal’. ‘Dhaakad’, the second song of the flick showed Geeta’s winning journey as a wrestler.
Aamir took to Twitter to share the song with his fans, he tweeted, “Hey guys, hope you like our 2nd song of Dangal. Proud to present my Dhaakad girls! Love. a.”
The song started with young Geeta asking her opponent not to fight thinking that she was a girl. It then portrayed her winning streak and a father’s happiness on his daughter’s success. The track’s lyrics spoke about women’s bravery.
The song has been written by Amitabh Bhattacharya whereas Raftaar has crooned the meaningful rap that went well with the movie’s plot. Zaira Wasim’s powerful performance as young Geeta was icing on the cake.
Previously, ‘Haanikarak Baapu’ and now ‘Dhaakad’, both the songs wrapped up with some powerful performances are definitely indicating towards another blockbuster from Aamir’s kitty.
Based on the real life story of Mahavir Singh Phogat, Dangal’ features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Sakshi Tanwar besides Aamir Khan. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, The film is slatted to release on December 23.
