Amid the ongoing battle with “Raees”, Hrithik Roshan starrer “Kaabil” has collected a decent Rs 38.87 crore at the box office till day three.
The film minted Rs 9.77 crore on Friday. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared, “#Kaabil Wed 10.43 cr, Thu 18.67 cr, Fri 9.77 cr. Total: ₹ 38.87 cr. India biz… Biz should witness growth on Sat and Sun.”
The film is expected to show growth on Saturday and Sunday.
When King Khan and junior Roshan decided to release their film on the same day, it was expected that SRK would get the bigger share of the pie and the same has come true. “Raees” has minted over Rs 50 crore in just three days of its release.
While Hrithik’s film is showing on around 2200 screens, Raees received 2700 screens. Rakesh Roshan told indianexpress.com that he would stop making films if such things continued.
Hrithik Roshan, who is known for releasing only one film each year has been facing tough competition for quite some time. In 2016, his film “Mohenjo Daro” had clashed with the superstar Akshay Kumar’s “Rustom”.
‘Kaabil’ is Hrithik’s fourth highest opening film. ‘Agneepath’, ‘Krrish 3’ and ‘Bang Bang’ are still his top three highest opening movies. In ‘Kaabil’, Hrithik and Yami Gautam are playing the roles of visually impaired people. It released on January 25.
