Deepika Padukone to turn producer after Anushka Sharma?

After Bollywood actresses like Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra turning producers, it seems like its the turn for Deepika Padukone to produce films. Anushka has successfully produced three films NH10, Phillauri and Pari with her home production banner, Clean Slate Films. Priyanka Chopra, on the other hands, owns Purple Pebbles production banner. Reports are suggestive that Padmaavat actress Deepika Padukone is now planning to go the production line.

An Asian Age report says, “Deepika is focusing on setting up her own production house. She wants to be associated with interesting and content-driven films. She will soon be donning the producer's hat."

Back in 2015, Deepika Padukone expressed her desire of foraying into production to PTI. She said, “I want to venture into production and be a producer or line producer someday because I feel I have that kind of personality. I like to organize, put things together and make things happen. I don't want to be a producer because I want to make money."

Deepika Padukone was last seen in Padmaavat, post which she was scheduled to shoot for her film with Vishal Bhardwaj and Irrfan Khan. But citing the actor’s health condition, the film has been postponed. Recently, reports were doing rounds that she will be tying the knot with her long-time beau Ranveer Singh this year. However, the couple has quashed the rumours.
