Deepika Padukone says ‘Thank You’ as Ghoomar gets 10 million views

Deepika Padukone is overjoyed and grateful as she shares the happy news with her fans on Instagram on Ghoomar getting 10 million views in just 24 hours of release.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Padmavati’s much awaited first song titled Ghoomar dropped on the online platform yesterday. The song is sung in the melodious voice of Bollywood’s playback singer Shreya Ghoshal and it was very well received by the fans. 

With the word of mouth publicity, the song succeeded in creating a buzz on the internet platform. And the number of views of the Ghoomar track only went on increasing. The song has now crossed 10 million views on You Tube.

Elated with the response of the audience Deepika has expressed her gratitude to the fans by posting a pic on her microblogging site Twitter.

Deepika wrote, ‘’Overjoyed & Grateful!!!Thank you all so much for the love!!! #Ghoomar @FilmPadmavati.’’

Interestingly, the maker of Padmavati, Bhansali has set a record once again with his new song Ghoomar. Deepika, who had earlier also performed on similar folk tracks in Bajirao Mastani and Ramleela, has once again won hearts by her superb performance in the Ghoomar song.  

The diva, who is essaying the character of Rani Padmnini in the film, has perfectly performed on the Rajsthani folk song Ghoomar. She has also done as many as 61 continuous twirls in the song alongwith her overweight jewellery and attires.

The film also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles and is slated to release on December 1.
