Deepika Padukone’s much talked about periodical drama ‘Padmavati’ has gone on the floors early this month. And now the actress has given a sneak-peek into the script of ‘Padmavati’.
The actress has shared a picture on her Instagram account in which she has captured a diary that boasts the title ‘Padmavati’ written in golden words, which seems to be the script of the movie.
The leggy lass made the post on the occasion of the third anniversary of her movie ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela’ opposite Ranveer Singh. It was helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela’ was the first time when Bhansali had worked with Deepika and Ranveer and the movie was quite appreciated by the audience.
Interestingly, ‘Padmavati’ happens to be Deepika’s third collaboration with Bhansali and Ranveer. The trio had also worked together in ‘Bajirao Mastani’ which was one of the biggest hits of 2015.
Three movies in three years, looks like Deepika and Ranveer have become the apple of Bhansali’s eye, and their collaboration indeed does wonders at the box office.
Going by the track record, hopes are high for ‘Padmavati’ as well.
The movie revolves around queen Padmavati whose graceful beauty allured Delhi emperor Alauddin Khilji who wanted to marry her at any cost.
While Deepika will be seen playing the lead protagonist Padmavati, her beau Ranveer Singh will essay the role of Alauddin Khilji. Besides, ‘Padmavati’ will also feature actor Shahid Kapoor who will be seen as Raja Ratan Singh opposite Deepika.
This is the first time Shahid and Deepika will romancing each other on the silver screen. Let’s see if this new pair will be able to recreate Bhansali’s magic in his magnum opus.
