This year has been amazing for the film industry. 2016 witnessed different stories and women centric films. Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ is the beautiful addition to those pictures. With its grand opening and good collection, the film made its place in the coveted 100 crore club. Now, the film is moving fast towards 300 crore club.

On Tuesday, the film managed to mint Rs 23.07 crore at the box office making its total of Rs 155.53 crore. With New Year, round the corner, the growth in the collection is expected. So, it will not be wrong to say that by the end of 2016, ‘Dangal’ will cross the Rs 200 crore mark. The positive word of mouth and good reviews from the critics has helped the film to attract audience to the movie halls.

The film is spared from any type of competition as the only big project in 2017 is ‘Ok Jaanu’ that will be released on January 13. Till then, ‘Dangal’ will be the only film ruling the box office.

The movie earned Rs. 29.78 crore on its opening day. With the collection of 34.82 crore on Saturday and 42.35 crore on Sunday, the film entered in 100 crore club on its first weekend. Aamir starrer fetched Rs. 25.48 crore on Monday and till now; the film has earned Rs 155.53 crore.

The superstar has already broken the opening day collection record of his own film ‘PK’. Now only the coming days will tell if ‘Dangal’ becomes a big commercial success like ‘PK’.

Directed by Nitesh tiwari, ‘Dangal’ was based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat. It also featured Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in prominent roles.
