Actors in Bollywood are often compared because of their performances and fame. Thus, analysing the films and acting of superstars Salman Khan and Aamir Khan was not the new thing. But, numbers speak for themselves and it proves that Aamir is competition for himself. ‘Dangal’ is moving fast and it may break the records of ‘PK’ soon.
After making its entry to the coveted 100-crore club, the winning streak of ‘Dangal’ continued on Monday also. The growth of films decline on fourth day and same happened with Aamir’s latest flick. But, still it managed to mint Rs. 25.48 crore on Monday surpassing ‘PK’ which grossed Rs. 21.22 crore on its fourth day.
The opening day and weekend collection of ‘Dangal’ was more than ‘PK’. The Nitesh Tiwari directorial earned 29.78 cr on its first day; on the other hand, ‘PK’ fetched the total amount of 26.63 Cr on the day it was released.
‘Dangal’ collected Rs. 34.82 cr on Saturday and Rs. 42.35 cr on Sunday. Whereas, Rajkumar Hirani’s PK had minted Rs. 30.34 Cr and Rs. 38.44 Cr on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Thus, Aamir’s ‘Dangal’ is moving ahead and is proving to be a competition for his own film. The coming days will decide the fate of the movie. But, surely the collection has proved that it’s unfair for him to be compared to other stars as he is his own competition.
