Confirmed! Mouni Roy to romance Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Bole Chudiyan
Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was last seen in Thackeray, is all set to play a lead role in upcoming romantic movie Bole Chudiyan. The movie is the directorial debut of Nawaz's brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui. While it was rumoured that Shraddha Kapoor would be romancing the Raman Raghav actor In the film, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has confirmed that Mouni Roy is the female lead in Bole Chudiyan.
Taking to his Instagram account, Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared a picture with Mouni Roy with a caption that said, "I am really excited to work with the very beautiful and talented @imouniroy Hope to spread some fragrance of romance on screen #BoleChudiyan".
Recently in an interview, Nawaz spoke about his choices of films and Box office pressure. The actor said, "I don't care about the box office. If I did, I would've done song and dance films throughout my career, the ones which go on to become hits. But today it is being perceived that you're a good actor only if you give a 100-crore hit.''
"Since it's perceived you're an actor only when you give hit films, I feel I should start doing films where there's comedy with a 'tadka' of content. I can do the films I believe in and also this kind of cinema once in a while," he added.
Talking about her role in Bole Chudiyan, Mouni Roy said in a recent interview, "“She is spunky spontaneous girl from small town but extremely firey but it’s too early to talk more about the character as I am in the phase where I am getting to know myself. What I love the most about her is that she talks, dances and she is very real. I am very looking forward to play the full fledged Hindi film heroine. To prepare my role, I will sit with my writer-director and try to understand how they want me to play the part. It’s a journey and a process, it will reveal itself".
