Confirmed! Big B to play Bhishma in this mega-budget film

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Sarkar 3’, will play the role of Bhishma in ‘Randamoozham’. The movie is the adaptation of MT Vasudevan Nair’s novel.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Sarkar 3’, will play the role of Bhishma in ‘Randamoozham’. The movie is the adaptation of MT Vasudevan Nair’s novel of the same title, and will be directed by Sreekumar.

Filmmaker Sreekumar confirmed that Big B will be playing a crucial role of Bhishma in the film.  He added that Bachchan’s character will be same as mentioned in the book, because they have not taken any cinematic liberties. The remaining cast and crew of the film is yet to be finalised.

After Malayalam superstar Mohanlal announced that he would be part of mega-budget film ‘Randamoozham’, it was being said that Amitabh and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been signed for crucial roles. Talking about that the filmmaker clarified that Aish will not be linked with the project.

 

‘Randamoozham’ is the third collaboration of Mohanlal with Amitabh. Both the actors have previously worked together in Major Ravi’s Kandahar, and Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Aag’. Both the films doomed at the box office.

On the work front, Amitabh’s ‘Sarkar 3’ that also features Yami Gautam Jackie Shroff and Manoj Bajpayee in the prominent roles is slated to release on May 12. Big B will also start the shooting of ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ alongside Aamir Khan. Mohanlal is waiting for the release of ‘1971- Beyond Borders’.
