Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor
Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia starrer Brahmastra is all set to hit screens in December 2019. The makers today made an official confirmation and stated that Brahmastra will release during Christmas in 2019.
Filmmaker Karan Johar took to twitter to announce the news and wrote, "PART 1!!!! #BRAHMASTRA #CHRISTMAS2019 @DharmaMovies written and directed by AYAN MUKERJI"
It is worthy to mention here that Brahmastra is a fantasy film and will release in three parts- called as a trilogy.
Alia is very much excited about the project and said that Brahmastra will take cinema to another level. "We all are very excited for the film...I think 'Brahmastra' is a step ahead. It will take cinema to another level so, I am very excited for the next year," Alia told the media at the preview of "East Greets West - A Conversation Through Calligraphy", earlier.
Brahmastra is not just directed but also written by Ayan Mukherji. He considers Brahmastra one of his ambitious projects as he has given 6 years to the film. Interestingly, in the film, fans will see Alia and Ranbir for the first time pairing together onscreen. Mouni will portray a negative shade in the film.
