Owing to the dipping TRPS of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ season 2, the makers are mulling over the idea of brining back Anita Hassanandani with Puja Banerjee on the show. The duo, which were part of the previous season, will be replacing the current jodi of Amruta Khanvilkar and Manan Desai.
Amruta and Manan were roped in for the second season of the show. However, the two failed to impress the audience.
As per media reports, the audience were missing the previous team of CNB as they had developed their own style on the show. So the makers, considering the audience demand, have decided to bring replace the current artists with the original pair.
Actress Amruta confirmed the news to a leading daily and stated that it was getting difficult for them to hold the interest of the audience of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ season 2. She also asserted that they were clearly informed by the makers about their replacement as the show was witnessing a constant fall in its ratings.
Earlier, two of actors Ssharad Malhotra and Sumeet Vyas were also replaced by the previous members of the show Mubeen Saudagar and Karan Wahi.
Apprently, Ssharad left the show just after a month of it going on air, as he found it difficult to juggle between CNB and ‘Kasam Tere Pyar Ki’. Malhotra plays the lead role in Zee TV’s ‘Kasam Tere Pyar Ki’.
Interestingly, it has been a while when CNB makers chose to revamp the show owing to the constant criticism over its format from several Bollywood celebs. The makers had roped in Aditi Bhatia, Nia Sharma, Mona Singh, Ssharad Malhotra, Amruta and several other celebs including Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh to give a fresh look to CNB 2. In fact, unlike its previous season this show was being hosted by television actress Mona Singh.
While four artists from the new team has left the show, only time will reveal if Mona, Nia and Aditi are able to survive on ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ season 2.
