The popular show on Colors ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’ is all set to come up with its second season, which is said to be going on air on September 25.
The producers of the show have decide d not only to part ways with Krushna Abhishek as an anchor, but also settled on a new format.
‘Comedy Nights Bachao 2’ will now be hosted by actress Mona Singh and this time the show will be based on mere stand-up comedy like it was in Comedy Circus.
It is worth a mention that time and again celebrities have refused to be part of the show, as they had issues with the format. Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Amy Jackson etc avoided promoting their movies on the show.
Besides, ‘Comedy Nights Bachao 2’ is said to feature an entirely new cast except of Krushna Abhishek and Bharti Singh. Ssharad Malhotra, Aditi Bhatia, Sumeet Vyaas, Nia Sharma and Gujarati stand-up comedian Mayank are said to have been roped in for the show.
The news was confirmed by comedian Krushna Abhishek himself, who also mentioned how superstar Akshay Kumar got miffed with the roast and humour quotient on the show during the promotions of his movie ‘Housefull 3’. He also said that with new and much decent format now he would like the ‘Rustom’ star to come on this new show.
Moreover, the comedian is also eyeing on megastar Amitabh Bachchan to be a part of the show, at least once.
Krushna Abhishek, also sang praised for Mona, with whom he has shared the stage ‘Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega’.
He also spoke about the reason why he and Bharti won’t be hosting the second season of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’
“We have been hosting the show for over a year now, moreover, a change is always good” he said.
However, the two comedians will continue to be a part of the show as participants.
We wonder if this revamping will be able to do wonders for Krushna Abhishek and the makers of ‘Comedy Nights Bachao’.
