Streaming giant Netflix yesterday announced a new Indian original film "Brij Mohan Amar Rahe", which would be available on the platform from August 3. This will be Netflix's third Indian original to be released this year after "Love Per Square Foot" and "Lust Stories".

The trailer of "Brij Mohan Amar Rahe", the first Netflix original from Yoodlee Films, was released yesterday.

The film revolves around the life of Brij Mohan (36), a hosiery shop owner in a busy Delhi market who desperately wants to change his life. It stars Arjun Mathur, Nidhi Singh, Sheetal Thakur, Manav Vij, Sunny Hinduja, Vijayant Kohli and Yogendra Tikku in key roles, Netflix said in a statement.

Director Nikhil Bhat said his film is a comic and complex look at the concept of "Karmic justice", and plays out with "ironic humour".

The film be available to over 130 million Netflix members across 190 countries on August 3, Netflix said.

"We are very proud to have films of the calibre of 'Brij Mohan Amar Rahe' on the service, where millions of film-lovers around the world can discover these strong, captivating stories," Swati Shetty, Director, International Originals and Acquisitions Netflix, said.

"We are also thrilled to get our first collaboration with Saregama off the ground, marking another milestone in our commitment towards forging solid relationships with Indian content creators," she said.

Siddharth Anand Kumar, Vice President, TV and Films, at Saregama said the film's release on the platform would encourage them to continue to make "fearless films" that will reach out to audiences both domestic and international.
