After having a smashing career in cricket, Australian cricketer Brett Lee is now making his way to Bollywood.
Lee will soon be making his acting debut with Bollywood film ‘Unindian’, opposite Tannishtha Chatterjee.
While the Australian bowler is quite excited with his silver screen debut, he is reportedly organising a special screening of ‘Unindian’ for his celeb friends in India including Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta.
“The screening will be before the release of the film here in India. We have invited a number of cricketers and Bollywood stars. We have invited Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Preity Zinta and others,” Brett told PTI.
“The feedback that we have got from Australia is amazing. People have thoroughly enjoyed the film. I believe people in India will enjoy the film as well,” Lee added.
Lee, however, won’t be present during the screening here in Mumbai.
Director Anupam Sharma says his filmmaker friend Sajid Nadiadwala has expressed his desire to watch the film that hits cinema houses on August 19.
“We have screening three-four days before the release of the film. Sajid Nadiadwala has requested for a screening. Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan want to see how is Brett in his first film, and there will be a lot of others as well,” Anupam said.
While Brett Lee is yet to impress the Indian audience with his acting skills, if the gossip mongers are to be believed the former cricketer has been approached for ‘Housefull 4’.
Although, there hasn’t been any official announcement in this regard, even Brett chose to stay mum over the rumours.
