Filmmaker Karan Johar has always received praises for his films but was never spared from attacks on his sexuality. There have been many trolls and jokes on Twitter regarding the same, but the ace director has maintained a dignified silence over the years. Now, he had finally addressed the issue in the excerpt from his book 'An Unsuitable Boy'.
The director said that people are well aware of his sexual orientation and he didn’t speak about it because there are chances of him being jailed and he didn’t want to deal with FIR’s.
Karan said, "The reason I don't say it out aloud is simply that I don't want to be dealing with the FIRs. I'm very sorry. I have a job, I have a commitment to my company, to my people who work for me; there are over a hundred people that I'm answerable to.”
KJo further talked about trolling and stated that he has become like the poster boy of homosexuality and it didn’t bother him. Over the years, he has learned to laugh it off on such kind of things.
Previously, there were many speculations of Karan’s alleged relationship with superstar Shah Rukh Khan. The director went on a trauma when he came to know this and revealed that SRK was like an elder brother to him.
The filmmaker didn’t stop here; he got candid about his first encounter saying that the idea of sex made him awkward as he was fat and uncomfortable with his body and thus decided to get in shape to develop little confidence. Karan revealed that he lost his virginity after that at the age of 26.
The director who only keeps questions in front of his buddies on his chat show has now confidently and honestly given answers to all issues surrounding him.
