Brahmastra: Alia Bhatt reveals why she is fascinated by co-star Ranbir Kapoor
Alia Bhatt, who celebrated her 25th birthday on the sets of Brahmastra last month, recently revealed that she has always been fascinated by co-star Ranbir Kapoor. During a recent interview, Alia said that it’s almost like a dream come true to work with Ranbir on a film.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Alia said, “I’ve always wanted to work with Ranbir. In fact, I was looking forward to the day I’d get to shoot with him because I’ve been fascinated by the way he steps into his characters. When we filmed together, it was exactly the way I had imagined it. He’s not only a fabulous actor but also a fabulous human being. It really doesn’t get better than a film set with Ayan and Ranbir on it.”
Alia injured her right shoulder and arm while shooting for an action sequence for the fantasy drama. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Mouni Roy will be seen doing high-octane stunts in Ayan Mukerji's directorial.
Brahmastra is reportedly being made on a whopping budget of over Rs 150 crore. While Mouni Roy plays the antagonist, megastar Amitabh Bachchan is also playing a pivotal role in the superhero film. In one of the interviews, director Ayan Mukerji said, ''It's the biggest project of my life. All my hopes are pinned on this film. I hope it becomes the biggest success... I am very excited about the cast but I hope the film gets even bigger than the cast.''
Brahmastra is all set to go on floors next month. It is made as a fantasy trilogy, the first instalment of which will come out in 2019.
