Veteran actress Sridevi’s ashes will today be immersed at Haridwar's VIP Ghat by her husband Boney Kapoor. The producer along with actor Anil Kapoor and politician Amar Singh are in the city to offer prayers. Few days back, the ashes of the veteran actress were immersed in the sea at Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. The Asthi Visarjan ritual was carried out by Boney along with daughters Khushi Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor.
The pic from Rameswaram in which Boney can be seen holding the urn carrying Sridevi's ashes was doing the rounds on social media.
Sridevi died of accidental drowning in Dubai. She was in the city to attend the wedding of Mohit Marwah. The news of her demise came as a big shock for everybody. She was cremated after being given the state honours in Mumbai on February 28.
From Amitabh Bachchan to Priyanka Chopra, many Bollywood celebs expressed grief over the demise if the veteran actress. Many renowned faces of the industry offered condolences to Kapoor family. Lately, Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma, Aamir Khan and Kangana Ranaut were also sported at the actress’ residence as they couldn’t attend her last rights due to their work commitments.
