Bollywood actor Salman Khan stepped out of Jodhpur Central Jail, escorted by heavy police force. Overjoyed fans, who gathered outside the jail premises in heavy number, showered the superstar with flowers and best wishes. Salman Khan’s sisters Arpita Khan Sharma and Alvira Khan have also reached the jail to receive their brother as he walks out of the jail.
The route between Jodhpur Central Jail and the airport has been cleared due to security reasons. From Jodhpur airport, Salman Khan will be boarding a chartered plane to his hometown Mumbai.
As Salman Khan’s bail was announced, many Bollywood celebrities including his Race 3 director Remo D’Souza expressed happiness over court’s decision. Talking to PTI, Remo said, “I am happy that he has got bail. After working with him so closely I have become a huge fan of him not only as an actor but also as a human being. Almost 90 percent of the shoot for 'Race 3' is over and the remaining portions will mostly be shot in India."
Salman Khan has been granted bail by Jodhpur Sessions and District Court on Saturday afternoon against Rs 50,000 personal bond. The actor will have to appear before the court on May 7, that in, one month from today. Also, he will have to seek court’s permission before flying out of country.
On Thursday, Salman Khan was convicted in 1998 blackbuck poaching case while co-accused Sonali Bendre, Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Neelam Kothari were acquitted. He was sentenced to five years imprisonment by Jodhpur Court.
