Actress Mumaith Khan, who is currently participating the first season of Bigg Boss Telugu will soon leave the show in connection with the investigation regarding the involvement of Tollywood with the drug racket. The actress has to quit the show in order to appear in front of Special Investigation Team (SIT). If reports are to be believed, the actress will rush to Hyderabad on July 27. After it, the actress may have the chance to go back to the show.
According to a SIT official, Mumaith will be allowed to face SIT officials at the place of her convenience. Previously, all male artists in connection with the case were questioned at the SIT office in Abkari Bhavan at Nampally.
After contacting the show managers, the notice was served to Mumaith on the show and the actress confirmed that she will be appearing for questioning. SIT has grilled some of the prominent names of Telugu industry after their names were involved in the case. Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh was questioned for 10 hours whereas cinematographer Shyam K Naidu was also grilled for nearly six hours.
Baahubali 2 actor P Subbaraju also appeared before SIT in relation with the case.
After working in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Kannada films, Mumaith participated in Bigg Boss Telugu. The show is hosted by Junior NTR.
