Bhramastra: Nagarjuna joins Ranbir kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan starrer

After a long hiatus, Nagarjuna will be seen in Brahmastra along with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and superstar Amitabh Bachchan.  He returns to Hindi cinema after 15 years.

Ranbir Kapoor has been prepping and shooting for the film with the fellow actors for quite some time. Nagarjuna’s last Hindi release was JP Dutta’s 2013 film LOC Kargil.

Nagarjuna has joined the team on the Mumbai sets. A source quoted, “Nagarjuna wanted to do a Hindi film from a long time but was looking for an interesting project. He finally gave his nod to this one. He will join the Hindi film’s sets from Tuesday onwards in Mumbai.”

It is rumored that director Ayan Mukherjee has approached Akkineni Nagarjuna to play a key role in the big-budget superhero fantasy movie Brahmastra, which is produced by Karan Johar.

If reports are to be believed, that Nagarjuna was eager to work in a Hindi film for a long time. He is not new to the Hindi film industry as he made his debut with Shiva more than 25 years ago and went on to do several films including Khuda Gawah, Criminal and Zakhm.

Brahmastra is the first film in a fantasy adventure trilogy that Ayan has been working on for past six years. According to a report, Nagarjuna will start working for the film from 10 July.

Bhramastra’s lead pair Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have also generated quite the buzz, thanks to their alleged relationship. Nagarjuna is presently doing a multi-starrer with Nani under the direction of Bhale Manchi Roju fame Sriram Aditya.

Well, by Nagarjuna adding to the cast, we must say our expectations from the film has gone a notch higher. The movie is scheduled for worldwide theatrical release on 15 August 2019.

In an interview, Ranbir shared, “It’s actually a supernatural romantic fairy tale at heart. Ayan will never make a character that doesn’t have truth to it, or which is unbelievable. It’s too early to talk about the film, but it is something I am terribly excited about.”

 “This film is a modern-day film. It is set in India as it exists today, but the name of the film is Brahmastra because the energy, wisdom, and powers in the film come from ancient India. As far as costumes are concerned, there are some which may not be the way you would expect them to be,” Ayan had earlier said.
