If you loved Bharti Singh aka Babli in The Kapil Sharma Show (TKSS), then there’s some sad news for you. The comedy queen who had recently teamed up with Kapil Sharma for the show, is soon going to quit TKSS. The reason is that Bharti had signed Comedy Dangal much before than The Kapil Sharma Show. Now that her new show is all set to air on &TV by August, the comedian will soon bid farewell to Kapil’s show. Bharti will be seen last in the next two episodes of TKSS.
In an interview with Times of India, the comedy queen said, “"I am on The Kapil Sharma Show till my other show Comedy Dangal doesn't go on-air. I had signed Comedy Dangal first and was later approached for The Kapil Sharma Show. I had informed Kapil bhai about Comedy Dangal before taking up his show, and have already done 6 episodes”.
She further said, “So it's not that I am quitting TKSS for Comedy Dangal. In fact, I am loving the appreciation that I am getting on this show. I wouldn't have quit TKSS, if I would have not signed Comedy Dangal. We will be shooting with Shah Rukh Khan on 30th of this month for Harry Met Sejal."
Meanwhile, Rajesh Kumar of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai fame will be joining Bharti Singh in Comedy Dangal, latest buzz suggests. In the new comedy show, there will be two groups – a standup comedy team and a sketch comedy team, which will be headed by Bharti and Rajesh respectively.
Anu Malik will also be a part of the show. There are also rumours that suggest Anita Hassanandani and Debina Bonnerjee may join Comedy Dangal.
