New Delhi: From past three decenniums, we have seen famous Hindi comedy shows telecasted on Indian television. From 80’s to 2000’s, small screen industry has given some epic comedy serials, with an imperishable mark in the mindsets of the audiences that even made us die hard laugh with curiosity for next happenings. So, here are the seven popular and all time favourite Hindi comedy serials that have no timeliness.
1. Hum Paanch
The 1995 sitcom depicted a story of Anand Mathur, a middle-class worker. Mathur was always in trouble because of his five daughters Meenakshi, Radhika, Sweety, Kajol and Chhoti.
2. Office Office
The show was about a common man named Mussadilal who always find himself trapped among corrupt government officials. Each episode was around the problems faced by common man every time he visited a government office for some services or work.
3. Dekh Bhai Dekh
Dekh Bhai Dekh went on air in the year 1993 on Doordarshan metro. The story revolved around three generations of Diwaan family who were living in their ancestral bungalow and facing troubles in relationships, business, parents and in-laws.
4. Shriman Shrimati
Shriman Shrimati another Hindi sitcom was telecasted during the year 1995. The show was all about two neighbourhood families where Keshav Kulkarni, married to Kokila, was tempted towards his neighbour Prema Shalini. On the other side Dilruba, Husband of Prema, was tempted towards Kokila’s wife of Keshav. Both the husbands tried every possible way to flirt with each other wives, but unfortunately ended up in failure.
5. Zabaan Sambhal Ke
The 1993 sitcom was an Indian version of British comedy show ''Mind Your Language". Two seasons show revolved around an Engineer Mohan Bharati who was forced to teach Hindi language in a school. The story was all about having troubles in translation as well as hatred towards the job.
6. Sarabhai VS Sarabhai
The 2005 Star One sitcom was recognized as the best TRP gainer as well as most entertaining show among viewers. The revolved around a rich and urban Sarabhai family. The story depicted the issues in between mother and her daughter in law which were never ending.
7. Ulta Pulta
Jaspal Bhatti's Ulta Pulta was one of the popular sitcom that firstly went on air on Doordarshan. It was directed and acted by Jaspal Bhatti. The story revolves around small issues which a common man face in his/her daily life routine.
