After a serious and unconventional film like Trapped, Rajkummar Rao is set to woo you with his comic sense in Behen Hogi Teri. The film, which also stars Shruti Haasan in a lead role, will hit the cinemas tomorrow. One of the highlight of the movie is its title, which has already garnered a lot of attention. Several people are eager to know the reason behind the unusual title. Well, Herry Tangri, who has a key role in the film, has the answer for you.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Herry, best known for playing Yuvraj Singh in MS Dhoni: The Untod Story, revealed the reason behind the unusual title of Behen Hogi Teri. “I think every guy in our country must have gone through this. At least I have. There was this girl in school I really liked but never told her. Later, when she was getting married, her parents told me, “Beta ye intezaam dekh lena, tumhari behen ki shadi hai.” The inner voice shouts just one thing at such moments - “Behen Hogi Teri”. The film is a cry out to all such men who have experienced this”, the actor said.
Speaking about his character in the film Herry said that he plays Rajkummar Rao’s friend Bhurra. However, he is not just the hero’s side-kick as his character provides a crucial twist in the plot, he added.
Behen Hogi Teri is about a man who falls in love with his childhood friend and neighbour, but the girl treats him like a brother. Rajkummar Rao said in a statement: "I don't drink in real life so when we had to do this particular scene, I just thought I should probably get drunk in order to make the scene authentic and the crew got really excited and they offered me all kinds of drinks to have."
