‘Raees’ and ‘Kaabil’ were anticipated as one of the biggest clashes of the year. Both the movies received decent reviews from the critics but the opening day collections were in favour of superstar Shah Rukh Khan whereas Hrithik Roshan was still struggling to reduce the huge margin. Now, ‘Kaabil’ has witnessed a decent growth on its second day.

Hrithik and Yami Gautam starrer managed to fetch Rs 18.67 crore on Republic day. However, considering the holiday, the collection seemed to be little disappointing. But, the film manages to surpass its opening day collection that was only Rs 10.43 crore.

Shah Rukh’s ‘Raees’ enjoyed the huge opening of Rs 20.42 crore which was much more than ‘Kaabil’. Meanwhile, the second day collection of Sanjay Gupta directorial may be a little relief to Hrithik. The film is expected to earn more in weekends.

‘Kaabil’ is Hrithik’s fourth highest opening film. ‘Agneepath’, ‘Krrish 3’ and ‘Bang Bang’ are still his top three highest opening movies.

‘Raees’ featured Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui along with SRK. The superstar is playing the role of a gangster in the movie. In ‘Kaabil’, Hrithik and Yami Gautam are playing the roles of visually impaired people. Both the films released on January 25. The fate of both the movies will be decided in coming days.
