New Delhi: Within a short span of time, actor Ranveer Singh has done weighty roles in Bollywood that would otherwise have taken decades for many others. He has played a lover boy (Band Bajaa Baarat), a con (Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl), a gangster (Gunday and Kill Dil), Romeo (Ram Leela) and a ruler (Bajirao Mastani). However, Ranveer does not want to restrict himself and now wants to essay a character with a dark shade.
Media reports suggest that Ranveer wants to break the happy-go-lucky personality that surrounds him and play a dark role. A source close to the actor told a leading entertainment portal,
“Ranveer doesn’t like to show his dark side to anybody. He loves to put out a funny, laughing persona in public as he feels that touches more people. But if he was offered a dark role with layers to it, he would take it up in an instant as that’s something he’s never played before.”

Well, given Ranveer’s diligence towards his projects, we are sure he will pull the baddie role seamlessly. It will be a treat to the eyes to see Ranveer, ordering evil things and creating problems in the protagonist’s lives. Knowing Ranveer’s energy, we don’t think his fans will settle for anything less than flying bullets or wicked plans.
Recently, there were also reports of Ranveer Singh and superstar Salman Khan being approached for the fourth instalment of the Dhoom franchisee. Do you think Ranveer’s urge to play a negative role has something to do with Dhoom 4? Well, we will have to wait for that.
