Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan's directorial Badla is riding high on success. The Sujoy Ghosh directorial has not just earned rave reviews but is also on a roll at the box office. It has been over a week now and the crime-thriller is refusing to slow down. Despite clashing with Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, Badla has maintained its slow and steady pace. Positive word of mouth resulted in increased footfalls in theatres and now, Badla is inching closer towards Rs 50 crore mark.
Tweeting the day 8 collection of the film, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, ''#Badla is super-strong on Day 8... At par with Day 4 and better than Day 6 and 7... Biz should witness superb growth on [second] Sat and Sun... Should cross ₹ 50 cr in Weekend 2... [Week 2] Fri 3.75 cr. Total: ₹ 41.75 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 49.26 cr''.
Badla is an official Bollywood remake of hit Spanish film, The Invisible Guest. It revolves around a woman (Taapsee Pannu) accused of murder, who hires a lawyer (Amitabh Bachchan) with an impeccable track record of winning cases.
