Badhaai Ho Box Office Collection Day 10: Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra film earns ₹ 76 cr on second saturday

Bollywood heartthrob Ayushmann Khurrana is definitely the flavour of the season with back to back two blockbusters- AndhaDhun and Badhaai Ho. Ranging from crime thriller AndhaDhun to comedy drama Badhaai Ho, the actor has proved his acting mettle with a variety of roles. From the opening day itself, Badhaai Ho has managed to take over the box office with huge numbers pouring in and now on the second weekend, the film inches closer to the 100 crore mark. On the second Saturday, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra starrer Badhaai Ho earned Rs. 6.50 crores making its total as Rs. 76 crores.

Revealing the film’s latest box office numbers, Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “#BadhaaiHo will cruise past ₹ 80 cr mark today... Second Sat witnessed 91.18% growth… Question is, will it join the ₹ 100 cr Club?... Much depends on how strong it trends till #TOH arrives in #Diwali... [Week 2] Fri 3.40 cr, Sat 6.50 cr. Undoubtedly, with Andhadhun first and now Badhaai Ho, Ayushmann Khurrana has become the actor of the season. He has not just impressed the audience with the versatility in his acting skills but has shown how small budget movies can also do wonders on the box office if the content is right. Ayushmann is overwhelmed by the positive response of his film. Talking about his successful career, Ayushmann said, ‘’I think I have been lucky enough in my journey to have got the right films and I'm thankful to all my filmmakers for believing in me."

Badhaai Ho is a hilarious yet realistic tale of a young man Nakul whose mother gets pregnant in her fifties. Instead of aborting the unplanned pregnancy, she decides to keep the baby. Embarrassed son starts keeping distance from his parents only to reunite with them later. Badhaai Ho was directed by Amit Sharma, who faced a similar situation in his own family.
