At a time when the Babumoshai Bandookbaaz trailer has stormed the internet, this Nawazuddin Siddiqui film is making huge headlines. Right from Chitrangada Singh to Divya Dutta, the film’s cast is trending today. While Chitrangada has walked out the film citing discomfort shooting initimate scene with Nawazuddin, it is Bidita Bag who has replaced her in the film. Making her Bollywood debut with Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Bidita is a happy soul and, expressed her excitement to work with talented actor like Nawaz during the trailer launch of the film.
Rise to stardom
Bidita Bag, who started her career as a model, is a popular face of the Bengali TV and film industry. She was spotted by Jeena Mitra Banik and ace make-up artist Late Prabeer Kumar Dey during her college days. She came into limelight in Kolkata after working for designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee and Kiran Uttam Ghosh. She has worked for Lakme fashion week, Lakme Elle-18, Vaseline, Nokia, Motorola, Colgate, Reliance. She has been face of brands such as Fair and Lovely, 7 Up, Horlicks, Indian Terrain and several others.
Bollywood entry
Babumoshai Bandookbaaz marks the Bollywood debut for Bidita Bag, who shared amazing chemistry with Nawazuddin Siddiqui during the film’s trailer launch, held at Mumbai yesterday. She has shot some intimate scenes with Nawaz for the film, and such bold scenes have already grabbed several eyeballs.
Speaking about the film she said, “I was waiting for an opportunity like this, where I could give an impressive performance. I am thankful to her (Chitrangada) for leaving this role”.

Bidita looks like a beautiful dream come true in both western and traditional attire. Her charming face and attractive eyes can make any man go weak in his knees. Besides great looks, she looked promising in the trailer as well. The model-actress is extremely active on social media and loves sharing her pictures with her fans.
Directed by Kushan Nandy, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz features Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bidita Bag and Divya Dutta in lead roles. Talking about the movie, the filmmaker said, "The film is not just an action drama but a crazy roller-coaster ride into the life of Babu. Raw and uninhibited and yet humorous". The film is slated to release on August 25.
