Baahubali is the most extravagant film Indian cinema has ever produced. After months and months of waiting, SS Rajamouli is set to be back with the conclusion. The massive success of the first part has led to an extreme level of anticipation and excitement for Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Not only the answer to question that the universe seems to be asking - Why did Katappa kill Baahubali? -- will be provided when the film releases on April 28, but the brilliant director SS Rajamouli also explained why he put in the hugely-admired Shivlinga scene in Baahubali and the elephant scene that we see on the posters of Baahubali 2.
The Shivling scene literally had everyone in goosebumps. Watch it here:
All of us remember the hair-raising scene when Prabhas scoops up the giant shivlinga from the ground to place it under water for his mother. The scene put in perspective Baahubali's immense strength and love for his mother. SS Rajamouli wanted something similar as Baahubali's introduction scene in The Conclusion so introduced the elephant scene in Baahubali 2 as Prabhas' introduction, the director revealed at the trailer launch.
Baahubali 2 tag line - whose line is it anyway?
Rajamouli's who else? The director said that the graphics person handed him the picture of Katappa holding the newborn. He liked it immediately, wrote a tagline - 'Boy he raised, Man he killed' -- and released it. A line that underscores the plot of the film well.

World of Baahubali will not end
Much to the delight of the fans, the director has said that the world of Baahubali will not end with the release of the concluding part of the film. No, he does not mean that he will make another part, but he said that the legacy will be kept alive with TV series or VR film, comics, merchandise and animation. Making a valid point, Rajamouli said that we will not do something because there is a market for it, but we will enter the market only if there is a good story, that is absolutely basic for me.
And yes, he has asked the fans to watch the film to finally get an answer to "Why did Katappa kill Baahubali?"
Baahubali 2 is slated for a historic run at the box office with a solo release and two-week free run. The film will be screened in 9000 theatres worldwide.
