Baahubali: The Conclusion which was a rage in India shattered all records by minting Rs 122 crore on its opening day in the country. S S Rajamouli's magnum opus is now all set to impress audience in China. The movie, which released across 18,000 screens had a blockbuster opening at Rs.19 crore.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to announce, ''#Baahubali2InChina makes a commanding debut.. $2.85 Million [₹ 19 Crs] for Day 1''. Indian films are having a fantabulous time at China's box office. Before Baahubali 2, Secret Superstar, Dangal, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Hindi Medium also released in China. However, Aamir Khan's Dangal is the one which stole the show. Nitesh Tiwari's film set new benchmark for Indian films in China.
Meanwhile, Baahubali 2 could not shatter day 1 collection of Secret Superstar and Hindi Medium but it outperformed its prequel Baahubali: The Beginning's lifetime business in just one day.
Baahubali 2 is the second part of Rajamouli's epic saga set in the fictional kingdom of Mahishmathi about two warring cousins. Baahubali: The Conclusion also stars Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnana, Tamanaah Bhatia and Sathya Raj in prominent roles. The movie has so far grossed over Rs 1500 crore globally.
