Baahubali 2 creates history in Tamil Nadu, breaks Rajinikanth starrer Enthiran’s record

While it is just inches away from entering Rs 1500 crore club worldwide, Baahubali 2 has also done wonders in Tamil Nadu.

SS Rajamouli’s ultimate creation Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is creating a havoc everywhere. While it is just inches away from entering Rs 1500 crore club worldwide, the film has also done wonders in Tamil Nadu.

Baahubali 2 has become the second film in the state to reach the mammoth Rs 100 crore figure. But, that’s not it! The epic drama has beaten the collections of superstar Rajinikanth's Enthiran, thereby becoming the highest grossing Tamil film.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala tweeted, "BREAKING: Kollywood has a New Industry Hit.. Baahubali2 crosses 7-yr old Champ Endhiran 's ₹ 105 Cr Gross in TN 2 b the New Industry Hit!".

In Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has reportedly collected more than Rs 285 crore. 

The Prabhas and Rajamouli combo has become the fastest film to collect Rs 50 crore in Kerala. The Hindi version of the film did outstanding business and has collected Rs 434.80 crore so far. 

In America, the film has opened to enthusiastic reception and is the first Indian film to gross Rs 100 crore at the US box office.

When the film collected a whooping Rs 1000 crore plus at the box-office, the makers of Baahubali took to their Twitter handle to release a success video.

“#Baahubali2 New Teaser... Jai Maahishmathi”, the caption read”.

The film stars Prabhas in the titular role and Rana Daggubati as antagonist Bhallala Deva. Anushka Shetty plays the role of Devsena, Ramya Krishnan stars as Sivagami while Sathyaraj played the role of Katappa. Baahubali 2 released two years after the first part - Baahubali: The Beginning.
