New Delhi: Director SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ was one of the biggest releases of the 2016. It not just did wonders at the box office but also won accolades for its breath-taking climax.

And now the makers are all set to bring on the sequel to the movie. After the massive success of the first instalment, ‘Baahubali 2’ is indeed quite awaited.

While the movie has already gone on the floors, we hear that the climax of ‘Baahubali 2’ will be bigger and better than that of its first part.

In fact, if the media reports are to be believed, the makers will be spending a whopping amount of Rs 30 crores for the climax, which will be the major highlight of the movie.

“The team will be shooting for the action-packed climax sequence in about a few weeks from now. Baahubali's climax was shot at over Rs 15 crore. People loved that entire war sequence so for the sequel, the makers wanted it to be bigger, grander and better. So they have decided to invest that much for this,” a source reportedly told an entertainment portal.

Interestingly, it means the production cost of Baahubali’s climax would be equal to the overall budget of around 3 Bollywood movies (average budgeted).

Reportedly, the team has started shooting for the climax today and this sequence shoot will last for around 10 weeks.

"After months of pre-planning and rehearsing, the team has started filming the climax portion. An epic war sequence will be shot in this final schedule and the shoot will go on till August. Prabhas (actor) has been training rigorously over the last couple of months for this portion," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

International stunt choreographers have been roped in to shoot this portion.

"Lee Whittaker, known for his action direction in films such as 'Lingaa' and 'Baahubali', is also the action director of 'Baahubali 2', along with Brad Allan and his team, known for their work on Kingsman series," the source said.

‘Baahubali 2’ starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah and Anushka Shetty in lead roles, is expected to release on April 18, 2017.
