Baadshaho featuring actors Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta has fared well in its opening weekend. The movie earned Rs 43.30 cr and is inching closer towards Rs 50 cr mark. Baadshaho minted Rs 12.60 cr on its opening day and then collected Rs 15.60 cr and 15.10 cr on Saturday and Sunday respectively making its overall collection Rs 43.30 cr. The figures were shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh on social media.
Taran took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the weekend collection of Baadshaho. He tweeted, “#Baadshaho fared well in its opening weekend... Fri 12.60 cr, Sat 15.60 cr, Sun 15.10 cr. Total: ₹ 43.30 cr. India biz.”
The movie was fighting the box office battle with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. Both the movies were of different genres and received mixed response from critics. Baadshaho is set against the backdrop of emergency and the bond between Emraan and Ajay was the highlight of the film.
The music of the film also received positive response from the audiences.
The film is doing a decent business at the box office. It is yet to be seen if it manages to enter the coveted Rs 100 cr club in the coming time.
