Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fared well on box office despite two new releases, Daddy and Poster Boys

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which also stars Bhumi Pednekar in a pivotal role shows an upward trend even during the second week. The film, helmed by RS Prasanna, talks about the men’s sexual disorder, erectile dysfunction. It received a good critical response for being offbeat and the great performances by leads, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. The film released with Milan Luthria’s Baadshaho, but despite being released in half the number of screens, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fared well on Box Office. 

This week, two new movies Arjun Rampal’s Daddy and Shreyas Talpade-directorial Poster Boys also released. However, the new releases didn’t hamper the business of RS Prasanna’s film. The film is gearing up to cross Rs 30 crore mark. 

The film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the flick has maintained a steady pace on Box Office and has already raked in Rs 28 crore so far. On Sunday, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is expected to do good business in box office numbers. 

Shubh Mangal Saavdhan is an official remake of Tamil film ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’. The story revolves around a Delhi couple whose love story comes to a halt when the guy confesses about his erectile dysfunction. It released in India on 1st September 2017.
