Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is excited to share stage with British band Coldplay at the Global Citizen Festival India. He will be hosting the event and said that standing in close vicinity with the band was a dream come true for him.

In a telephonic interview to IANS, Ayushmann said that meeting Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin was a part of his bucket list so obviously sharing stage with him is a huge deal. On meeting Chris, Ayushmann confessed of telling him that he performed his song ‘Yellow’ at concerts.

The 32-year-old actor said he was looking forward to a "phenomenal response". He pointed out that they are expecting numbers to be somewhere around 75,000 to 1,00,000 by the evening.

The fest will be headlined by Coldplay, Jay Z, Aamir Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, A.R. Rahman, Farhan Akhtar, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Arijit Singh, Dia Mirza, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Monali Thakur.

The gala, set to take place at the MMRDA grounds here, is focused on creating an impact in areas of education, equality, clean water and sanitation.

Ayushmann says he will be anchoring the gala with his "Meri Pyaari Bindu" co-star Parineeti Chopra.

"I am anchoring with Parineeti and the fest focuses on sanitation, education and poverty and we I think we have said a lot about it," he said.

GCFI will also feature international artistes like The Vamps and Demi Lovato.

Among other Indian celebrities who will be present at the gala are Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Freida Pinto, Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha.
