Today Ayushmann Khurrana is celebrating his 33rd birthday today. A few days ago, the actor came out with a film that broke the glass ceilings of conventional Hindi films that never dared to talk about less-discussed topics like sexual disorders. Shubh Mangal Saavdhan was a feather in the cap of this versatile actor who has already proved his mettle in Indian cinema with several box office hits. Who can get over his Dum Laga Ke Haisha, where he played a gullible Rishikesh boy? Many movie buffs are hailing Ayushmann Khurrana as a hero Bollywood needs right now, and we couldn’t agree more.
Thus, on his birthday, let’s envisage our chocolate boy in the sequels of some of the most popular Bollywood flicks.
Dil Chahta Hai
The one film that millennial can’t get over is Dil Chahta Hai. The coming of the age film which revolves around the story of three friends created a wave when it came out back in 2001. It dealt with the everyday state of affairs in the most realistic way possible. Ayushmann Khurrana, who has already established himself as a superstar of youth-centred film, there couldn’t be a visual treat as fulfilling as this. What about Rajkummar Rao and Sushant Singh Rajput playing the other two leads? Whoa!
Jab We Met
Just close your eyes for a moment and imagine Ayushmann Khurrana playing the role of Aditya in an entirely different setting. I guess, we couldn’t have imagined anybody else than Ayushmann to play the role of Aditya in this Imtiaz Ali superhit. The air around JWM 2 isn’t clear as yet, but we secretly wish that Ayushmann becomes the part of this project whenever it is helmed.
Namastey London
Although, rumour mills are churning that Arjun Kapoor is to replace Akshay Kumar in the Vipul Amrutlal Shah superhit, but we still do wish that Ayushmann Khurrana plays the lead in the upcoming sequel. Akshay Kumar played the role of Arjun, which was a hopeless romantic and yet a gutsy Punjabi Gabru in an entirely different world. Though, Ayushmann Khurrana has forayed into the realm of romance with Bareilly Ki Barfi, but that film left us craving for more.
Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani
Ranbir won millions of hearts with slapstick comic timing in this Rajkumar Santoshi film. We would be glad to see Ranbir Kapoor again in the sequel of APKGK Part 2, but we’ll be elated to see our chocolate boy in this rom-com film. Ayushmann Khurrana has his hands on expertise on comedy, which he has shown beyond doubt in his last films. Bollywood buffs can’t get enough of Ayushmann’s goofier side.
Ishq Vishk
College romance flicks were a thing back those days. It can be pulled back to fashion, with the right story and of course, a natural actor like Ayushmann Khurrana. What about having both the chocolate boys, Shahid Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana together? It would be an explosive combination, I must say.
