Ayushmann, who is basking in the success of his last release AndhaDhun has signed his next ''crazy'' project and will soon announce it. Co-starring Nushrat Bharucha, the movie will be directed by debutant Raaj Shaandilyaa, who has earlier written the dialogues for Anees Bazmee’s Welcome Back, Sohail Khan’s Freaky Ali and Omung Kumar’s Bhoomi. Shaandilyaa has also co-written another Ekta Kapoor's project Jabariya Jodi, which has Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra in lead roles.
According to a report of Mumbai Mirror, the movie is set in Faridabad and features a strong ensemble cast. Workshops of the film will kick-start soon as the shooting is all set to begin next month. A source close to the development informed Mirror, ''Ayushmann was so impressed with the script that he gave his nod to the film soon after the narration''.
On a related note, Ayushmann will next be seen in comedy drama Badhaai Ho along with Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. On the other hand, Nushrat Bharucha will feature in Hansal Mehta's next Turram Khan alongside Rajkummar Rao. The movie is being produced by her mentor-friend Luv Ranjan, director of her blockbuster Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
Meanwhile, Ekta Kapoor has announced her reunion with Lipstick Under My Burkha director Alankrita Shrivastava for a film titled Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Featuring Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sen Sharma in lead roles, the poster of the film is enough to tell you that it is a woman-centric story.
