Newcomer Athiya Shetty, who has been roped as one of the female leads in ‘Mubarakan’, admits that she is nervous about the movie because of its genre
The movie is a comedy flick starring Arjun Kapoor in the lead.
Athiya stated that since she is new to this genre, she is a little anxious about it.
However, she also averred that the anxiety has not dampened her excitement to be a part of the much anticipated movie.
In fact, Athiya is yearning to begin shooting for ‘Mubarakan’ and join thecast soon.
“I am excited to be on the set more than anything else, to be in front of the camera. I feel happiest when I am in front of the camera”, Athiya said.
‘Mubarakan’ happens to be Athiya’s second movie after she made her big Bollywood debut with 2015 release ‘Hero’. Besides, this is the first time she will be sharing the screen space with Arjun Kapoor.
Talking about her character Shetty revealed, "I play role of a Punjabi girl who is simple, but she adds fun, chaos and madness in 'Mubarakan'. I think it is going to be the wedding of the year and everybody is invited."
Helmed by Anees Bazmee, ‘Mubarakan’ also feature veteran actor Anil Kapoor. Interestingly, Anil and Arjun will reprise their real life relation on the silver screen. The first look of the film was revealed in a very traditional manner with a wedding invitation asking everyone to join in. Arjun will be seen in double role in the Anees Bazmee directorial.
‘Mubarakan’ is slated to release on July 28 next year.
