New Delhi: Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor will be next seen in ‘Half Girlfriend’, which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s 2014 bestseller by the same name.
The movie, which also features Shraddha Kapoor in lead role, is all set to go on floors today.
Chetan Bhagat himself took to Twitter to announce the news.
He also shared the first look of Arjun Kapoor from the movie.
Arjun plays a national-level basketball player named Madhav Jha in the movie.
He has been training with a basketball team from USA to perfect the sport, informed trade analyst Taran Adarsh on Twitter.
Arjun too announced the movie on Instagram by posting a picture of him with the basketball. He wrote, “And so it begins... #halfgirlfriend #basketball”.
Half Girlfriend is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures, Mohit Suri and Chetan Bhagat. According to reports, the movie will be shot in Patna, Delhi, Rajasthan, Cape Town and New York.
Earlier, Arjun Kapoor was also starred opposite Ali Bhatt in ‘2 States’, which is also a big screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s novel.
