Ever since his debut with ‘Ishaqzaade’ in 2012, actor Arjun Kapoor has smitten several girls with his cute smile and bindass attitude.
In his journey of four years, Arjun has attempted roles of different genre, from a spoiled brat in his debut movie to the adorable lover boy in ‘2 States’ and a perfect husband in ‘Ki &Ka’.
Arjun has managed to create a position for himself in the industry by his hard work and dedication. But despite being from the filmy background, creating a name for himself wasn’t a cake walk for Arjun Kapoor.
In fact, there has been a point when one big failure made him question his potential. He though that it is the end of his career in Bollywood.
This was the time when his home production ‘Tevar’ went flat at the Box Office.
“For some films you are prepared to face failure while with the others you get surprised. The biggest setback that took a toll on me was Tevar. Firstly, because of the effort that I put in, secondly, because it was a home production. It happened at a point in my career when I believed that I am going to be here in the film industry,” Arjun told a leading daily.
He further added, “I started believing that I am beginning to settle into being an actor and getting opportunities to work. Suddenly, you give a flop like that and you are questioning yourself . Will I have to start from scratch? Will I have to rework on things? Will I have to work on myself even more?”
The ‘Gunday’ actor later confessed that this failure taught him some biggest lessons of life.
“It taught me one thing. It taught me to follow my instinct and gut even more than earlier. It was more like a film where I said ‘ok let us do an action film’ and went out looking for an action film rather than the film coming to me. I definitely believe now that I will not go running and chasing materialistic things. I don’t want to set a plan. I would rather go with the flow. It is always better to be surprised by the stuff that comes to you instead of you going searching for it,” Arjun said.
Currently, Arjun Kapoor is busy with his forthcoming movie ‘Half Girlfriend’. Directed by Mohit Suri, the movie also features Shraddha Kapoor in the lead and is slated to release next year.
