After reports of Karan Johar dropping plan to launch Prabhas in Bollywood due to exorbitant price demands, Baahubali actress Anushka Shetty has reportedly rejected KJo’s film. It was being said that Karan was all set to launch Anushka in his next directorial venture. However, now the actress has walked out of the project as she didn’t like the role offered to her, latest buzz suggests. Furthermore, it is also being hinted that Anushka contacted Prabhas to take a suggestion on the matter and, now it looks like the Baahubali 2 stars have apparently decided to say no to Karan Johar’s film.
"Karan was keen on casting Anushka in one of his projects, but she didn't find the role adequate enough for her. She had rejected Tamasha for similar reasons as well. And yes, there are speculations that she may have consulted Prabhas before refusing the film," a source was quoted as saying to India Today.
This isn’t the first time that Anushka Shetty has reject Bollywood offers. The 36-yaer-old actress was earlier approached for Golmaal series and Ajay Devgn starrer Singham but she rejected them all.
This news has come right after speculations of Karan Johar dropping the idea of working with Prabhas in a film as reports suggested that the Baahubali actor asked for a whopping amount of Rs 20 crore to do the Dharma production film.
Following such speculation, Karan Johar took to Twitter and took a sly dig at Prabhas by saying “Dear Ambition..if you have to achieve your full potential stay away from your arch nemesis…Comparison!”
