The major highlight of the event was the special guest Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi attended the reception and congratulated the couple and gave them his best wishes. He spent time with Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli''s family members. He also posed with family for few pictures.

This is known to all that the couple will also be hosting another reception in Mumbai on December 26. However, apart from the couple’s family members, cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Kapil Dev and BCCI president CK Khanna were expected to attend the event. PM Narendra Modi attended the event.

After getting married in Italy, Virat and Anushka were in Finland for their honeymoon. Both the stars will celebrate their New Year in South Africa. The actress will return in the first week of January to resume the shooting of Anand L Rai’s untitled project. Anushka will soon start shooting for Varun Dhawan starrer Sui Dhaga. She is also gearing up for the release of her home production, Pari.
