The Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor has been creating much buzz everywhere. Right from Deepika’s gorgeous ethnic attires to Ranveer’s amazing transformation, the film has now become the talk of the town. After Rangoon, Shahid will be seen as Maharawal Ratan Singh in Padmavati. While the Jab We Met actor looks every inch royal in his Maharaja avatar, a gorgeous actress is all set to play his first wife in the film. And, she is none other than Anupriya Goenka. The actress, who is known for several short films, was seen in Deepika Padukone starrer Ghoomar song.
Anupriya has done few roles in Bollywood and a South Indian film as well. In Padmavati Ghoomar song, the actress was seen sitting in the middle of the row. It had us wondering as to who the beautiful Rani was. And now, our curiosity has an answer in the form of Anupriya Goenka.
According to history, Ratan Singh had two wives, Nagmati and Padmavati. As per the Ghoomar song, one can assume that there are undercurrents of hate and insecurity between the two ladies.

Talking about Padmavati trailer, Shahid Kapoor recently said, ““I think you guys are being very kind because in the trailer my character is underplayed. You will discover him only on the big screen. Wait for the film”.
