Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna impress in The Accidental Prime Minister new poster, trailer to be out today

The Manmohan Singh biopic titled The Accidental Prime Minister, featuring Anupam Kher, has been making headlines for quite some time now. The veteran actor, who is playing the former Prime Minister, took to social media to share new poster ahead of its trailer release today. The new posters features Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna, who is playing the role of Sanjaya Baru in the biopic. For those unaware, Sanjaya Baru was the media advisor and chief spokesperson of then PM Dr. Manmohan Singh, who courted controversy when he wrote the memoir, The Accidental Prime Minister. Akshaye, who was last seen in the Sridevi starrer Mom said that he was absolutely “thrilled and excited to be a part of a venture” calling it a game changer at many levels. 

Taking to Twitter, Anupam Kher said, "He ruled the country... He wrote the book... #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister trailer out today! In Cinemas 11th January 2019.@IAmAkshaye @GutteVijay @mehtahansal @suzannenernert @mayankis @bohrabrosoffic1 @PenMovies @AahanaKumra @mathurarjun @ashokepandit #DivyaSeth".

In another post, Anupam Kher was all praises for Akashye Khanna. He said, "Dear #AkshayeKhanna !! Today being the release of our trailer of #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister I want to say that you have been an amazing & most giving co actor. Your brilliance rubbed on me and it helped me bring out my best. You are an inspiration. Thank you."

The Accidental Prime Minister also features Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra as Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi. Suzanne Bernert will portray the role of former Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
